Oral Appliances
Tailored oral devices subtly reposition the jaw, alleviate muscle tension, and safeguard joints to ease TMJ discomfort non-surgically.
What are Oral Appliances?
Oral appliances, also known as bite splints or orthotics, are custom-fitted devices that fit over the teeth to help adjust jaw position, alleviate clenching, and stabilize the temporomandibular joints. At the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Kansas City, each appliance is meticulously crafted to match your unique bite and symptoms, promoting the relaxation of strained muscles, protecting teeth, and ensuring proper joint function—whether worn during the day or at night.
